What are the precautions for the use of rotary vane vacuum pumps?

(1) Before using the rotary vane vacuum pump, add the vacuum pump oil according to the oil mark indication scale. Rotate the three-way valve to make the suction pipe of the pump communicate with the atmosphere, and isolate it from the evacuated container, and open the exhaust port.

(2) Rotate the pulley by hand to check the operation. After there is no abnormality, turn on the power again and pay attention to the direction of rotation.

(3) After the pump runs normally, slowly rotate the three-way valve to make the suction pipe of the pump communicate with the evacuated container and isolate it from the atmosphere.

(4) When the pump is stopped, in order to maintain a certain degree of vacuum in the vacuum system, the three-way valve should be rotated to close the vacuum system, and the suction pipe of the pump is connected to the atmosphere. Turn off the power and stop the operation. Close the exhaust port and cover the pump tightly.

(5) The vacuum pump should not be used to remove gases with high oxygen content, explosiveness and corrosion to metals. In addition, it is not suitable to inhale gases that can react with pump oil and gases containing a large amount of water vapor.

After a period of use, the belt becomes slack, and the motor position needs to be adjusted. Pay attention to replenishing the pump oil. When it is found that the pump oil is mixed with sundries or water, it is necessary to replace the new oil and clean the pump body. It is not allowed to use volatile liquids such as acetic acid and acetone to clean the pump body.
